Do's and Don'ts for making a logo


10 bad tips for making a logo:

  • Don't copy someone else's design. Be original from other peoples designs.
  • Don't use too many fonts. Just use 1-2 different fonts because you want the reader of your logo to be focused.

  • Don't make a logo based on trends
  • Designing for yourself instead of the client.
  • Use of Stock Art because that could get you in trouble which you don't want.
  • Don't use raster images
  • Designed by an amateur

  • Make sure you know what a logo is and what it's representing in your business.
  • Make sure you know the principles of your design.
  • Effective without any use of color
  • It's scaleable 
  • Learn off your mistakes to make a better more effective logo.
  • Make sure you go step by step making your logo. Not just throwing in different shapes and objects. (Brainstorming,  sketching etc.)
  • Make sure you know how to use the software the logo is being created on. 
  • Make sure the logo is appropriate for all age groups.
  • Make sure the logo is in a correct size
  • Make the logo catch the persons attention. You don't want to have a boring logo no one wants to see.
